Iditarod 2007… counting down the days
Right now in October, we’re still well over 100 days out from the start of Iditarod 2007, but there is already lots of energy and excitement surrounding the 35th running of the Last Great race. There will be a plethora of returning champions coming back to the race, Robert Sorlie is back again after a year off, and even though his wins aren’t sequential in year, he has won the race the last two times he has run it. Jeff King will also be back in ‘07 to defend his 2006 Iditarod Championship.
Iditablog will be up and running, bringing you commentary and coverage throughout the entire race, and I’ll be back in Nome with musher interviews, audio clips, and even more post race coverage than ever before.
Come back in early 2007 as we talk about some of the tragic events that have happened in the Iditarod family since the last race, and we’ll also take a look at some of the mushers, new and old to Iditarod 2007. Its never to early to start talking strategy, and as snow starts to pile up in the mountains of Alaska, you can be sure that right now is going to be the make it or break it training time for a lot of next year’s contenders.
