AAS Podcast #2

Nate & I sit down again (in a very cold studio) and talk for almost 20 minutes this morning on what has transpired since last night.

In this podcast we cover:

  • Current Standings
  • Can mushers maintain this pace into Nome?
  • When will the first musher arrive?
  • What is going on with start differentials?
  • Scratch Updates
  • What can we learn from 2007 Kobuk 440?
  • Where is everyone else right now?

We’ll have more as the morning goes on! – (click here) to download the podcast

  1. hey
Your coverage is so valuable! I’m an arm chair snow musher, and real time dryland musher from Nor Cal and I really appreciate being able to follow this great race from the warmth of my cabin.

I’m sorry but I can’t understand the ‘match times’ issue you all were discussing in the podcast. How is the make up time determined? I understand the effect to be shaving time off their total time? It never did seem fair to have some mushers leave so far behind the others…. but his make up time doesn’t seem to be related to the start position…please help, if you can.

I love you guys, all the drivers, and their cutie mushing pups! Keep it up.

  2. Love the insight but can’t help but feel left out because I can’t listen to the Podcast. Anyway to get a transcript or notes posted?

  3. I’m still on phone connection, no way I can listen to your podcast .. any transcript please ? thanks for the cover of the race, it helps a lot !!

second musher to scratch was Mike Santos in Telephone .his dogs are well and were already flewn to Nome . info is for those who can’t listen to the
    potcast 2 .

  5. I don’t podcast either… Transcripts would be awesome!

Actually A LOT of mushers I know of would think podcasts are some new type of dog equipment…

I think mushing events should stick to blogs more than podcasting at this time since many interested in the sport are not so into the new technology yet…

Thanks for your work though! I’m sure there are many enjoying the info.
